Date: Feb 2020
Commission partner: HER Productions
Description: Keisha wrote Tinderbox for the Vignettes festival celebrating female writers and directors.

Brief:

Tinderbox is an ode to revered American poet, Nikki Giovanni. In a talk at the Southbank Centre in 2019 she voiced that older women should consider living together and looking after each other more since statistically women are outliving men. Inspired by this idea, Keisha chose to write a short piece looking at the dynamic of two older women of colour living together. The piece featured actors: Kay Purcell, Nicola Gardner and Jade Golding and was directed by Kayleigh Hawkins.
